How possum works
possum is a launchpad where the fees on every token go to the people who hold it, weighted by how long they have held. It runs on top of StonkFun’s LaunchLab platform, and it pays nothing for bonding: value opens up only once a token has real holders.
Every number here is live
Values in gold are read from the settings the platform runs on, so they are current. Every setting lists all of them in one place.
The loop
- Launch. A creator launches through possum. It is an ordinary StonkFun launch that names possum’s treasury as the pool’s creator, which is how possum earns. Launching a token
- Trade on the curve. Every trade pays StonkFun’s fee, 1% on the curve. StonkFun forwards 0.5% of volume to possum, which splits it: 0.2% to holders, 0.2% to POSSUM buybacks and 0.1% to the platform. Where the money comes from
- Bond. The curve fills and the token moves to a Raydium pool. Nothing is paid at bond: a bot can bond a token, so bonding proves nothing.
- Reach milestone 1. Once 1 day have passed since bond, a token with at least 150 holders outside detected clusters, each holding at least $25, reaches milestone 1. The holders’ share of every fee until then, held in escrow, goes to the wallets holding at that moment. A token that does not bond within 7 days of launch, or reach milestone 1 within 7 days of bond, sends that pot to the POSSUM pot instead. Escrow and milestones
- Get paid, every day. After milestone 1 the holders’ share, 1% of post-bond volume, is split in 1 day epochs by holding weight and sent to each wallet once it has at least 0.005 SOL waiting. Nothing to claim. Epochs and payouts
What makes it different
- Holding pays, and holding longer pays more. A wallet’s weight is how much it holds times a multiplier that grows with time held. Selling part of a bag scales the weight down; it never resets. Holding and weight
- No creator fee. Creators earn as holders, with a bonus on tokens they lock. Creators and locks
- Snipers are not the audience. Escrow, milestone 1 and the holder score make buying in the first seconds and dumping at bond a poor trade. The holder score
- POSSUM ties the tokens together. Part of every fee buys POSSUM, which goes back out through the lottery, side pools and neighborhood drops. POSSUM and buybacks
How the money is checked
possum works out what each token earned from the trades it indexes, and pays only from the forwards StonkFun actually sends. No day is paid beyond cash received, and any gap between what the trades say and what arrived is shown on the home page rather than papered over.
