Escrow and milestones
Nothing of value happens at bond. A bot can buy a token to bond, so bonding proves nothing; milestone 1 needs real holders, and that is when a token starts paying.
The escrow
From the first trade until milestone 1, the holders’ share of a token’s fees (0.2% of curve volume, and 1% of volume after bond) collects in the token’s escrow. The token page shows it growing, next to the milestone 1 condition and the clocks.
Two clocks
- Launch clock: a token that has not bonded 7 days after launch loses its escrow to the POSSUM pot. It keeps trading, and if it bonds later a new escrow starts on the bond clock.
- Bond clock: a token that has not reached milestone 1 7 days after bond loses its escrow to the POSSUM pot.
An expired pot is gone for that token’s holders, and the POSSUM pot uses it for buybacks. Tokens close to expiring are listed as takeover targets. The expiry list
Milestone 1
Once 1 day have passed since bond, the workers count the token’s holders every minute. The first count with at least 150 holders who are not in a detected cluster, each holding at least $25 worth, records milestone 1. At that moment:
- The escrow is split among the wallets holding right then, by weight, with the score’s de-weighting and the creator held to 20% of it.
- The creator’s mint fee and the cost of the reserved slice go back to the creator.
- The reserved slice is dropped on other tokens’ holders.
- The token can win the lottery, if its score is in the good tier.
- Holders who stayed through it gain reputation.
- From here, the token’s fees are split every day.
Milestone 2
7 days after bond, a token worth at least $250,000 reaches milestone 2. Its side pool starts filling and it can receive neighborhood drops. Side pools · Neighborhood drops
