POSSUM
POSSUM and buybacks
POSSUM is the platform’s token. Part of every fee buys it on the market, and what is bought goes back out to the holders of good tokens.
Not launched yet
POSSUM has not been launched, so buybacks, the lottery, side pools and drops are waiting for it.
The token
- Launched through possum’s own flow on StonkFun, trading against STONK, with possum’s treasury as the creator, like any possum launch.
- The treasury also funds a POSSUM/SOL pool, so POSSUM can be bought with SOL directly.
The POSSUM pot
What the pot takes in, in each token’s quote:
- the buyback share of every fee: 0.2% of curve volume and 0.4% after bond, less the 25% of it that is a token’s side-pool budget from milestone 2;
- escrows that expired;
- holder shares with nowhere to go, from a token with neither an open escrow nor milestone 1.
A buyback
- Once the pot owes at least 0.05 SOL, or that much in value, possum’s hot wallet buys.
- The route is SOL → STONK → POSSUM: every buyback is STONK demand first, which is why POSSUM trades against STONK. Each swap accepts at most 1% slippage.
- 20% of the POSSUM bought is burned. The other 80% is handed out by the lottery. The lottery
Each step is recorded before the next, so a crash resumes where it stopped instead of buying twice. A token whose pair is off the allow-list pays its buyback share to its holders instead. Custom pairs
